Hometown: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

1st Job Ever: Student custodian at the Smith Fieldhouse at BYU

Why did you decide on a Dental Field job? I went to Brigham Young University initially considering either accounting or dentistry. After taking business classes, I realized accounting wasn’t the right fit for me because I wanted a career that was more hands-on and people-centered. That led me to fully pursue the predental path.

As I shadowed several dentists in Utah and in my hometown, I saw how meaningful dentistry could be. I loved watching dentists build long-term relationships with their patients, help people get out of pain, restore broken teeth, and give patients confidence in their smiles again. I was especially drawn to the combination of science, problem-solving, and working with my hands.

Hobbies and Interests: Playing the piano, Pickleball, table tennis, spending time with my lovely wife and 4 kids, trying new restaurants, watching movies and kdramas with my wife

Fun Facts: I’m trilingual (English, Korean, and Spanish). I never had a cavity. I’m scared of heights but I love roller coasters.

What is your favorite food? Sushi and Korean BBQ

Schooling: Brigham Young University, B.S. in Exercise Science & UNLV School of Dental Medicine
