What is family dentistry?
Family dentistry is a dental office that will see the whole family—the two, three-year-old children, the adolescents, mom and dad, and grandma and grandpa. One of the things that we do very well here at Mat Dentistry is see people of all ages, from little kids to grandma and grandpa. We like that because we like to be able to get to know your entire family.
What are the benefits of family dentistry?
There are several benefits to coming to a family dentist. One is that you don't have to deal with multiple dental offices. You can bring the children to the family dentist, invite your parents—mom and dad, grandma and grandpa—to the family dentist, so that there is a continuity of care. Do all dentists offer family dentistry?
Not every dental office offers family dentistry. Some general dentistry offices will not see children and will send them to the pediatric dentist.
